Creating a decorative punch needle accent for a tin bucket couldn’t be easier! Punch. Glue. Fill! Here are some great process tips and photos to ensure sweet results when decorating your tin bucket for Valentine’s Day.
When the punching fun is done, cut off the excess weavers cloth, only leaving a small border about 3/8” wide. Fold this edge to the back of your design, overlapping the cloth as needed to keep as neatly to the heart shape as possible. Use a steam iron to flatten the folded cloth. Glue this border to the back of your design.
Cover the back of your punched heart with a thin layer of Tacky glue, then center and adhere it to the side of your tin bucket. Beginning at the v-shaped center while the glue is still wet, carefully lift just the edge of your punched design and insert the flat edge of your pom pom trim, following all the way around the heart shape until the trim meets back at the v-shaped center of the heart. Fill with your favorite treats and Punch Needle Tin Heart Bucket is ready to give to your Valentine!
